SPONGE AND GRUNTTeams of 2. One person pushes the wheelbarrow (known as the grunt) and one is in the wheelbarrow (known as the sponge). The sponge has a bucket of milk and the grunt pushes the load around an obstacle course. Teams are judged on the amount of milk that is left in the bucket at the end of the course. Seniors only.
DAWN DASHTeams of 2 needs to crawl out of their swag, down iced coffees, race to the ute and load up various items onto the back before honking the horn to signify that they have finished all the tasks. Tasks can vary and will be explained before the race. Seniors only!
THONG THROWINGTest your Aussieness and see how far you can throw a rubber thong. It may sound easy but thongs are more difficult to throw then you think. Junior event.
MILK LOADINGPairs are asked to cart milk (coloured water) from a tank to a drum which is located on the back of a ute head height, the team with the most milk in their drum wins. The participants are not allowed to climb on to the ute. We have a junior event and a senior event.
RUBBER BOOT MARATHONIndividual race. Heap of rubber boots in a tank of water, so firstly you have to get a pair that fits you and put them on. Then the marathon is an obstacle course, roll a bale of hay, load a bale onto a ute, go through whatever is set up on the day and lastly it always ends with the slippery wet slide through the plastic tunnel. Best time wins. Junior and senior events.
AUSTRALIAN IRON GUTSPut on your thongs, race to station 1 & see how quickly you can eat an Aussie meat pie (don’t forget the sauce). At station 2 gobble down Nanna’s lamingtons, polish off an iced coffee & be crowned Australian Iron Guts!!!!
